the non-medicated human experience

every saturday, i decide to go on a hike. when i lie awake on my bed it takes me like half an hour to ignore my desire to just spend the day on my porch nursing a book as the skies turn candy pink and blue to fading orange. It then takes another half to muster enough courage and energy to actually get off my bed.
