i want to live forever. it gives most of us enough time to explore what the world really has to offer. i could learn french not because it’ll be handy in my cv but because i can then communicate the language of compassion. i would have time to live up to the idealism of law school applications and actually do pro bono work. and many many many more.
here, i write down what else i’d want to do if i lived forever:
cross the border of north korea on foot
become one of harvard’s admission officer
be penpals with a convicted felon
learn how to tolerate the Carolina Reaper — the world’s spiciest chilli
get into aquascaping
getting a warm black coffee at the corner of the street hearing the bustling (and painfully) yellow taxis in downtown Manhattan as i stroll to my corporate office that has glass panes transcending the lines of skyscrapers
find myself in europe to design the architecture of houses. plan my outfits for iconic greece mornings then intrinsically enjoy bread, jam, and a hot cup of tea for breakfast instead of the usual asian rice with meat
walk into work with 501 levi’s jeans paired with a plain shirt to launch an IPO then leave my palo alto office at 3AM walking back home through the dimly lit streets feeling smug about life
own a Gacha Store (aka capsule machine) in beautiful Japan
live in the peninsula excelsior hotel for a year (because I can) working as a banker in humid clean Singapore and have small chat with the taxi drivers everyday
go to berklee and become ariana grande's music producer (if i'm living in the same time frame as her of course)
buy a pretty house in Los Angeles so that i can be neighbours with jennifer lopez
learn acting from jennifer lopez then leave her for acting in Hollywood
these fantasised realities can actually be materialised. if you push yourself into the constant of pursuit and out of the intrinsic fear of simply living.
